When was the last time you looked back and took a minute to reflect on your journey? I had the opportunity to do just that last month while thinking about what to write for my chapter in an upcoming anthology I’m joining. I was excited to realize the personal growth I’ve made over the last three years even in the midst of self doubt. I didn’t see the hard work actually paying off until I was able to take some time to write. I finally submitted my chapter entitled Evolve or Dissolve to be a co-author in the soon-to-be bestselling book, Courageous Enough to Launch! by the amazing visionary Dr. Cheryl Wood.

In my chapter, I wrote a little about my journey after divorce and the series of events the lead to me starting a new business, Single Black Entrepreneur. Although it’s still in it’s developmental stages, I’m setting fear and doubt aside to actively stay courageous enough to launch, share my story, and expose what I’ve been building for the past few years.

My goal is that my story will inspire someone to put their fears aside and launch their ideas to the world to inspire the next, and so on. If this story enables someone to reach out to me to help them, even better. But ultimately, I just want others to breakthrough the self talk and truly be courageous enough to launch into their purpose.

To evolve is to develop yourself gradually from within yourself, the evolution of your mindset, habits, daily routine, associations, actions, and life.

My reward for having achieved my goal of completing this chapter was to take a personal Reset Solo-cation to the beach. During my trip I was able to relax, release and reset my energy to move forward to my next level. My next challenge will be to share quotes about evolving that may inspire someone to experience some personal grow bring more positivity to the world.
